On Sunday 10th May, these girls both finished their first season with the Aylesbury Rugby club, which they started all thanks to the recruitment efforts through the school.
She had a wonderful year and she has been awarded the U8 Player of Players award 2025/2026. For being a great team player, amazing friend, being kind and helpful towards all her team members, always smiling and having great sport attitude. She has been awarded Best New player of U11. As the newest member of the team (and only 1 of 2 girls in the mixed team of boys) which has already been training together for a few seasons she slotted in straight away and became a great part of the team. Learning the game fast and doing the work throughout the season she has earned the spot on the team.
Both girls have had the greatest first season of 2025/2026 and they hope that they might inspire more of the Ashmead pupils to give Rugby a go!

Just before the holidays this girl competed in the Regional Championships for gymnastics in Southampton! You are amazing at what you do, and you are so resilient. You competed against others that were older than you but that didn't stop you from achieving 3rd (Bronze) overall!
Her results were:
Gold (and regional champion) on Beam
Silver for Range and conditioning
Bronze for Bars
4th on floor
